How to read a fact on any page of the register.
Three states
Every fact in the register is in one of these states. A predicate with no assertion is not retrieved and is shown that way, never as blank. A retrieval that found nothing is recorded as absent — a row that says so, with the same warrant as any other fact.

| SUPERSEDED | Historically valid, no longer current. Retained; points at what replaced it. |
Lifecycle
A credential's lifecycle is a fact derived from what its source reports, by the rule shown beside each state.

Assertions and warrants
A fact is an assertion: a subject, a predicate, a value or an absence, an epistemic state, and a source version. A source version is a retrieval event — a locator, a time, an HTTP status and a hash of what came back. Every page shows the most recent retrieval among the warrants it rests on as its evidence-as-at date.
Review
Relationships and crosswalk rows carry a review state — pending, approved or rejected — set by a person or carried forward from a prior review that is cited by an assertion on the row. The register does not yet expose the review-state table to this page; the states are described here and shown as tags on each detail page.
Crosswalk rows are not identity (D-124)
A crosswalk row records that a reviewer found a TGA occupation and an ANZSCO code to be related, with a score and a decision. It is a reviewed source relationship. It is never a claim that the two are the same thing; identity belongs to the classifiers that publish the codes. VocaScope answers where a concept appears in the training system.
The row a pathway followed (D-127)
When a credential is recorded as a pathway to an occupation, the relationship carries an assertion naming the exact crosswalk row it rests on. The credential page shows that row. It is not looked up by code at display time, because a code can have several reviewed rows across versions and the page must show the one the pathway actually followed.
